Seeing more hair in your brush lately? 🫠You’re not alone, and in most cases there’s a simple explanation. Swipe through for what’s normal, what’s not, and what can help you. 🤎
Every hair grows, rests and then falls out to make room for a new one. 🌱Losing roughly 50–100 hairs a day is part of that cycle. Many people notice it more as the seasons change, especially when they wash or brush.
Take a closer look. A hair that has shed comes out from the root, often with a tiny white bulb at the end. 👀 Short pieces without a bulb are breakage: the hair has snapped along the length. In winter that’s often what people are seeing.
Cold air outdoors and central heating indoors both take moisture from your hair and scalp. You’ll notice it as dullness, frizz, a more tight or flaky scalp, and ends that break more easily.
When it’s cold, we want our hair dry fast, so the dryer goes on the hottest setting. Try medium heat instead, keep the dryer moving, and always use a heat protectant first. NATULIQUE Heat & Sun Protector infused with Himalayan Goji and Jasmine Flower extract is my favorite. 🌸
This is what I recommend every winter:
– a richer conditioner for the colder months. For instance NATULIQUE Nourishing Conditioner or Anti Hair Loss Conditioner.
– a hydrating mask once a week NATULIQUE Intensive Hair Mask.
– a light oil or serum for a dry scalp NATULIQUE Moroccan Argan Oil.
You don’t need a full shelf, just a few good products used consistently.
Taking good care of your hair and scalp helps dry hair and a dry scalp, but it can’t fix a medical cause. See a dermatologist if shedding is sudden or heavy, you see bald patches or a widening part, it lasts longer than about three months, or your scalp itches or looks red. Not sure what your hair needs? I never coloured this client before. She had irritations and itchiness from doing the roots every 4-6 weeks with a more harsh chemical colour. Plus the colour always ended up orange / yellow after a few weeks.
My goal was to create more natural dimension, to break up the opaque look of the hair colour and to got as light as possible with the highlights.
This clients had lots of hair, so a full highlights is a must.

The goal to create a grey-ish/cool toned/oat blonde tone to the blond. And yes you’ll definately still need a bit of Yellow to create a vibrant cool tone. 🤭
“Once it’s dry, you’ll see that it’s a lot lighter”. When your a hairdresser, you will recognize this. 😅

Who doesn’t love a lived-in blonde, natural ‘ombré’ effect?! On my other model for the NATULIQUE Hygge Immersion I did a sun-kissed look with focus on low-maintenance.
Placing with purpose for that natural effect is crucial. Using the NATULIQUE ammonia-free Permanent Whitener creates lifts to beautiful natural levels.
After rinse I did a toner with the liquids for a zero-lift gloss with a pearly golden effect. 💫🫶🏼

To create depth and a vibrant effect, I used different techniques combined together. Using BALANCE Sparkling Shine to lift, create depth with the Liquids and topped it with a luminous liquid gloss after rinse for that extra shine and warmth. Amazing right?!🤩
